“Your Impact Limited has worked with Microsoft for over four years and has always provided an excellent service, both from an advisory and delivery perspective. The first project that we worked together on was for Your Impact to run a pilot programme in the U.K. for senior engineers. We had previously piloted this with two other suppliers unsuccessfully. Our business objective was to increase the level of customer satisfaction from ’Satisfied’ to ‘Very satisfied’ through improved Communication, Problem solving and Time Management skills.

Your Impact worked on-site alongside our engineers to understand the business and the challenges experienced and to gain a full understanding of the level and topic areas that were required prior to developing and writing the course materials in partnership with the management team. The pilot was a huge success, so we trained over 250 engineers in the U.K prior to rolling the programme out to Europe and the Middle East. In total 1000 engineers were trained in 13 countries.

We opted to run the programmes in English as this is our business language. Although there were concerns of that the level of understanding may be impacted, the delivery style and content was so specific to our environment, incorporating our processes, forms and internal language that it had little or no impact. In fact in Hungary we had a 17% increase in ‘Very Satisfied’ customers compared to our target of 5%. Our current programmes have been developed by Your Impact in response to a on-going issue that we were experiencing, which was to provide training and personal development for engineers that were unable to attend standard training courses due to the role of being onsite permanently at client sites. Your Impact recommended a coaching programme that allowed development to take place at work, through observation and feedback sessions. “My team consists of a consortium of up to eight different organisations tendering and bidding under the Governments Private Finance Initiative (PFI) for the construction and maintenance of a large scale school building programme in Somerset. This is an incredibly challenging, diverse and complex project involving production of detailed plans and tender documents which have to be submitted to strict deadlines. At various stages of the bid the team are required to make a number of presentations. The most crucial presentation is made to an audience of up to 60 school heads, educationalists, governors, councillors and community advisors, shortly after the bid is submitted.
